Renaissance (2019)

Wyatt Michael's debut album is a classic jazz vocal masterpiece. Accompanied by guitarist Chris Whiteman, the two present an intimate exploration of the Great American Songbook. In addition to Jazz Standards, Bossa Novas, and originals, this recording contains two previously unreleased songs by an iconic songwriter David Mann. "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" is David Mann's most famous composition and was a huge hit for Frank Sinatra. "Paris Is the Same Old Paris" and "The Sad and the Weary" were written in the same time period as "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning,” but never recorded. They were laying dormant in a trunk at the family's New Jersey home for decades. Through a chance meeting and subsequent friendship with Sam Mann (David's son), Chris and Wyatt were given permission to bring these songs to life. We hope you enjoy "Renaissance".
